45th Street South Reconstruction
The City of Fargo plans to reconstruct 45th Street South from 32nd Avenue to 52nd Avenue beginning in the 2010 construction season.
This project will be in cooperation with the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). A Project Concept Report (PCR) is currently being prepared by Houston Engineering for the proposed reconstruction. The PCR will address reconstruction alternatives and associated impacts for the reconstruction of 45th Street.
The minimum option for 45th Street is a four-lane divided roadway. Future construction projections indicate a six-lane roadway may ultimately be needed. Both alternatives are being exmained and are presented here for the public's information.
