South Side Flood Control Project

In order to protect future growth areas within the City of Fargo, the city must move forward with a permanent solution for southside flood protection. Protection of South Fargo has been found to be feasible through the construction of one of the following five alternatives.

All the maps below are PDF files and will require a lengthy download if you are using a dialup connection to the Internet. Printouts of the maps are available in the Fargo Engineering Office at 200 3rd St. N. from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Project construction is expected to begin in June of 2009, with functional completion March 2011 and final project completion scheduled for 2012.
