Emerald Ash Borer

The Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has not been found in Fargo or the State of North Dakota, but it has been found in other mid-western states.  With its first reporting in 2002 in the State of Michigan and its subsequent spread to neighboring states, EAB is a threat to all ash trees in our city.

We receive numerous calls from the public wondering if the bug(s) on their ash trees are EAB.  If after looking at the pictures and literature you are still unsure of your type of pest, please feel free to contact our department.
