Let's Eat Local!

Let's Eat Local! is part of the Cass Clay Food Systems Initiative (CCFSI), which was started with the purpose to impact all levels of our community food system to assure that residents have access to safe, nutritious, and affordable foods. We aim to improve the production, distribution, sales, and consumption of healthy, locally grown foods within our region. Strengthening the local food system will benefit the health, food security, economy, and environment of our two-state community. The CCFSI seeks community involvement of those with an interest in improving our local food system.

The CCFSI is looking for persons interested in working to improve our local food system by serving on one of five task forces (Food Access, Urban Agriculture, Food Infrastructure, Economic Development, Outreach & Education). Task forces are currently meeting and are in the process of developing their own work plans. The individual task force meetings are open to anyone interested. Additionally, there are three large group task force meetings scheduled throughout the next year.

*The Cass Clay Food Systems Initiative thanks the City of Fargo for hosting our website.
