Children's Department - Children's Storytime
The Fargo Public Library has several storytimes available for families and caregivers. For more information about our 10-week spring and fall series or the school-year Saturday sessions, please call 241-1495. New this spring - Family Storytimes!
Registration is required for the Tuesday and Wednesday storytimes. Registration for the spring 2010 (February 8 - April 14) storytime session begins January 25.
Toddler Storytimes:
Dr. James Carlson Library (2801 32 Ave. S.)
Wednesdays at 10 a.m.
Main Library (102 3 St. N.)
Tuesdays at 10 a.m.
- Toddler Storytimes are open to babies and toddlers; however, the stories will be most appropriate for children 18 months to 3 years of age.
- During the toddler storytime sessions, parents/guardians are required to sit with their children in the storytime area.
- Toddler Storytimes are generally 20 minutes in length.
- Large group space is limited. Daycares and groups of five or more children need to call Children's Services at (701) 241-1495 to register.

Preschool Storytimes:

Wednesdays at 11 a.m.
Main Library (102 3 St. N.)
Tuesdays at 11 a.m.
- Preschool Storytimes are open to children age 3 or older. Children turning 3 during the current session may also register.
- During the preschool storytime sessions, parents/guardians are required to remain in the library building. Parents are not required to sit with their children the entire time and may browse the collection if the children are comfortable with the parent doing so.
- Preschool Storytimes are generally 30 minutes in length.
- Large group space is limited. Daycares and groups of five or more children need to call Children's Services at (701) 241-1495 to register.

Family Storytimes:

Second Thursday (February-April) at 6:30 p.m.
Main Library (102 3rd St N)
Second Monday (February-April) at 7:30 p.m.
- Family Storytimes are open to all ages.
- During the family storytime sessions, parents/guardians are encouraged to participate. Parents of toddlers are required to sit with their children. Parents of preschoolers and older children are required to remain in the library building.
- Family Storytimes are generally 30 minutes in length.
- Registration is not required.
