August 17, 2006 Minutes
Present: Mike Sebille, Pat Zavoral, Helen Levitt, Herb Snyder, Charles Pace
Absent: Linda Coates, Mike Williams
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m.
Architect Richard Moorhead reviewed the construction bid document package for the branch library at the Clapp Park site. The date for opening of bids is tentatively set for September 20. Committee members were also shown samples of materials to be used in the branch. Lighting for the branch was discussed. Herb Snyder move to approve the construction plans and proceed with going to bid for the project. Helen Levitt seconded the motion. The motion carried.
Architect Jeff Scherer presented the current plans for the new main library. There was some discussion of parking. Scherer reviewed the list of sustainable features and practices that will be integrated into the new building. Helen Levitt moved to proceed with the development of construction drawings and moving into the construction document phase for the new main library. Herb Snyder seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The committee decided that the time of the next meeting will be determined at a later date.
The meeting adjourned at 8:08 p.m.
