I. Discussion
Linda Coates will do the welcome and introduction at the public forum this evening emphasizing the local/national architectural team approach. Jeff Scherer presented a preview of the power point presentation to be utilized this evening.
Mike Williams discussed the impact on parking for the downtown sites. The sites are currently bonded, but can be de-pledged if a site is found suitable for the library. The main goal is to generate traffic downtown. A new library building and parking can both partner toward that goal.
Jim Gilmour stated the NDSU downtown parking lot contains 170 spaces and would be the most difficult to replace. The Civic lot has 450 spots with 250 spaces used daily. The remaining spaces are filled with events at the Civic Center.
Tonight refreshments and welcome will start at 6:30pm with the forum starting at 7:00pm.
