I. Minutes
John Cosgriff moved to approve the minutes of April 21, 2006, as presented. Charles Pace seconded the motion; the motion carried.
II. Fundraising Update
Fundraising is moving forward. The committee is almost in place and materials are being prepared. Currently the campaign is in the private phase which should be complete by spring 2007. The public phase will last six to nine months and be complete by the end of 2007. Construction is not contingent on fundraising. Added amenities and furnishings will be affected.
III. Main Library Update
Plans for the main library were presented and will be refined. The revised plan has a new second floor over the footprint of the existing building. It allows for expansion of sixty feet to 3rd Street. It will maintain an entrance form 4th Street, 3rd Street and the green space to the north. The existing structural walls will be integrated into the design of the main floor. The design phase targets at least 10% more efficiency than required by code. The main library will be approximately 46,000 square feet.
Charles Pace moved to approve the schematic design of the main library facility with minor changes. Changes with significant budgetary impact will be brought back to the committee for approval. Pat Zavoral seconded the motion; the motion carried.
IV. Southpointe Library Update
The Southpointe project is currently in the design development phase with a targeted fall bid date.

The next public forum and meeting will be scheduled for July/August. The meeting was adjourned.
