Register for a Fargo Public Library Card
To register online, you must live within Fargo city limits. If you do not live within Fargo city limits, you will need to register in person at any Fargo Public Library location. (Get more information.)
After successfully completing the online registration form below, your library card will be mailed to you within 5 business days. Once received, your library card will allow you to access our information databases and request materials by placing holds.
When borrowing materials from the library for the first time, you will need to show a picture identification with your name to initiate your borrowing privileges.
To initiate borrowing privileges for a youth card (applicants 15 years of age and under), the child's parent/guardian must present a picture ID.
Accepted forms of picture identification are current driver's license or state ID, military ID, passport or school ID.
