Biography of Sgt. Carlos Nestler
Sergeant Carlos Nestler joined the Police Department on January 24, 1994. He has been a Field Training Officer and supervisor. Sgt. Nestler is also an instructor in several police subjects; Emergency Vehicle Operations Course, Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, Drugs That Impair Driving, and Police Training Officer Course (PTO).
In 2005, Sgt. Nestler competed in the World Police and Fire Games in Quebec City, Canada. He competed in motocross, at the games, and finished in fourth place.
Sgt. Nestler was promoted to his current rank in 1999. He is currently assigned as an evening shift supervisor. The hours for the evening shift are 3:30 p.m. to 00:30 a.m.
