Biography of Sgt. Jeff Skuza
Sgt. Jeff Skuza is a 1988 graduate of Moorhead State University, where he holds a BA in Criminal Justice. He joined Fargo Police Department in October 1991 and worked most of his patrol duty on the evening or “PM” shift. He was a field training officer for several years before he was promoted to sergeant in January 2001.
As a sergeant he managed the department’s training for more than two years and was active in the recruiting and hiring of new officers. He is a weapons instructor and also teaches report writing. Sgt. Skuza supervised the investigations unit for four years where he was also assigned as the department’s public information officer. He has also served on the board of directors for the Red River Child Advocacy Center.
