Fargo Police Explorer Post 280
Fargo Police Explorer Post 280 is seeking new recruits between the ages of 14 and 20. Are you ready for a challenge?
More than 30,000 young people are actively enrolled as Law Enforcement Explorers across the country. Explorers work in a professional-level organization under the guidance of law enforcement professionals. Explorers participate in meaningful activities that benefit their communities, sponsor and themselves while having fun at the same time. They experience the real world of law enforcement, working with and learning from the people who work in it everyday.
Exploring in Fargo
The Fargo Police Department, in conjunction with the Northern Lights Council of the Boy Scouts of America, sponsored the organization of Law Enforcement Explorer Post #280 in 1997. This post is intended for high school and college students interested in exploring a career in law enforcement.
An explorer is involved in many different activities and functions of the police department, including community service work and assisting officers on ride-alongs and during police training.
Explorers help shape the goals and activities of the post with their input and efforts. What the Law Enforcement Explorers Post #280 becomes will be a direct result of the efforts of its members and advisors. Exploring is a great opportunity!
