Curbside recycling is available to Fargo's 22,000 residential households (those that pay for residential garbage collection and do not have a commercial garbage dumpster).
Each household will receive a blue container for setting out your recyclables, and each year we will mail you a calendar showing your scheduled pickup weeks and what can be recycled. The collection schedule is available on the left column of this webpage.
You can use small plastic garbage cans, paper bags, or purchased bins/totes from local retailers in addition to the blue bins, as long as the city blue bin is placed out as well.
How do I recycle if I live in an apartment?
If you live in an apartment or have a dumpster for garbage disposal, you will need to use our recycling drop-off sites; curbside recycling is not available for these customers.
We appreciate your efforts to conserve and recycle these materials that are a valuable resource for creating new products, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
