Purpose of Service: Non-emergency wheelchair transportation and ND Medicaid transportation.
Type of Service: Shared ride service which means the driver may pick up and drop off other passengers on the way to the rider’s destination.
Hours of Service: 6:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday.  Weekend rides based on attendance.  Scheduling Requirements:  Reservations are required by noon the day before the scheduled ride.  Rides scheduled for Monday must be called in by noon on Friday.
Eligibility Requirements:
Regular Ride or Medical Ride: For people who have a physical, cognitive or emotional disability.
Medicaid Ride to Access Medical Care: Rider must be Medicaid eligible. Rides are provided free of charge to the passenger and medicaid is billed on their behalf. If Medicaid determines that the ride provided was not eligible or if there is a client recipient liability, Handi-Wheels will bill the passenger at the non-Medicaid medical ride fee of $13 per trip.

Driver Assistance: Assistance to/from the rider’s location within the building and assistance with packages.
Type of Vehicles: Mini vans and vans with wheelchair lifts. Weight limit for lift is 600 pounds.
Deliver Empty Wheelchair, Scooter or Oxygen Tank to Passenger: No
