Parking in Fargo

Parking laws are enforced by the Fargo Police, Inspections and Street departments.  The city's rules on parking can be found in 8-1001 to 8-1025 of the Municipal Code (view chapter eight of the ordinances as a PDF file).

If you receive a parking ticket in Fargo, you can pay for it in our online payment center. These tickets may also be paid at the Auditor's Office collections window on the second floor of City Hall at 200 North Third Street. Finally, you may also deposit your payment in the drop box outside City Hall at the southeast corner of the building. Parking fees are due within 15 days or a $5 penalty will be added to the amount due and the vehicle may be subject to impound. Fees can be paid by cash, check, money order or credit card. Parking ticket appeal forms may be obtained at the Fargo Police Department.
