Fargo strives to manage, promote and maintain safe, convenient, accessible and attractive parking opportunities to meet the needs of businesses, residents, students and visitors.

There are policies that regulate parking throughout the City; these policies are summarized in Parking Basics.

Parking laws are enforced by the Fargo Police, Inspections and Street departments.  The City's rules on parking can be found in 8-1001 to 8-1025 of the Municipal Code (view Chapter 8 of the ordinances, requires Adobe Reader).

To report illegal parking on a public street, call Fargo Police at 701-235-4493.

To report illegal parking on private property, call the Inspections Department
at 701-241-1561.
