Adult Home Visits
Home visits from a registered nurse are available to residents of Cass County though the Adult Home Health Program. Frequency of visits is determined by the client's need for services and physician orders, ranging from once a week, to as infrequently as once ever two months. One of the goals of this program is to provide services that will assist individuals in remaining safely in their own homes for as long as possible.
RN services may include
- assessment of the individual's physical and mental health status.
- PT/INR monitoring.
- assessment of the safety of the home environment.
- medication set-up and monitoring, including assistance with IM or subcutaneous injections (not intravenous).
- health education and support
The recommended fee for these services is based on your income, and some clients are able to receive assistance from Cass County Social Services. Medicaid (MA) will be billed for nursing home visits. We do not bill Medicare or other private health insurances.
Fargo Cass Public Health is not a Medicare-certified home health care agency.
