Curbside recycling
Curbside recycling is available to Fargo's 21,000 residential households (those that pay for residential garbage collection and do not have a commercial garbage dumpster).
For $3 per month, this optional service provides for your recycling to be picked up every other week on your regular garbage collection day. You will receive an 18-gallon container for setting out your recylables, and each year we will mail you a calendar showing which are your scheduled pickup weeks and what can be recycled. The $3 monthly fee is charged to your city utility bill.
You can purchase additional recycling bins for $7 by contacting us at 241-1449. You can also use small plastic garbage cans or paper bags in place of additional bins.
How do I sign up?
To enroll in curbside recycling, please contact the recycling office at 241-1449 with your name, street address, phone number and garbage collection day.
If you live in an apartment or have a dumpster for garbage disposal, you will need to use our recycling drop-off sites; curbside recycling is not available for these customers.
We appreciate your efforts to conserve and recycle these materials that are a valuable resource for creating new products, and we look forward to the opportunity to serve you.
