If your pet is missing, you should call the pound immediately at 232-7312 to see if it has been recovered. The pound holds animals for three business days before humanely ending their lives or turning them over to an animal adoption agency. Adoption is not always an option, since local agencies are often full and cannot accept pets from the city pound.
If you are able to recover your cat or dog from the pound, you should expect to pay a $35 impound fee plus a boarding fee for each day the pound cared for your animal. If your pet is not licensed, you will also pay a $25 penalty fee.
