Your City of Fargo utility bill contains several charges. Below is the rate information for each charge:
Water: Water is billed at a base rate (dependent on your water meter size) up to 2,000 gallons, then at a rate of $4.25 for each additional 1,000 gallons.
Sewage: The residential rate is $16.00 per month.
Garbage: Residential customer's monthly rates vary depending on cart size. The following cart options are available: $6.00 small, $9.00 medium and $14.00 large. Contact Solid Waste at 241-1449 to change cart size.
Storm sewer: The residential rate is $3.00 per month.
Forestry: The residential rate is $3.50.
Mosquito control: The residential rate per unit is $1.00 per month
Street lighting: The residential rate is $2.50 per month

Utility Bill Payment Information
Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards are accepted when paying a utility bill. You can pay over the phone and online 24/7. Payments may be made in person at the city payment window on the second floor of City Hall at 200 3rd St. N during business hours. You can also drop your check payment in the drop box outside City Hall at the southeast corner of the building on 3rd street.
Auto pay: This offers a convenient way to pay your water bill each month. Simply sign up online or complete our signup form. You will no longer have to remember to pay your bill, and it will always be paid on time.

Customers can now receive their monthly utility bill via e-mail. If you'd like to sign up for this free service, please fill out the form and return it to the Water Department via e-mail, postal mail or fax 701-476-4188.
